We depart from Dublin at 8:00 AM, embarking on a scenic drive through the Irish midlands to County Cork, passing by the battlefield set of the Hollywood blockbuster Braveheart.
Our first stop is the renowned Rock of Cashel in County Tipperary. One of Ireland's most enchanting sites, this location allows you to walk in the footsteps of St. Patrick amid ancient ruins, Celtic crosses, and round towers. Feel the essence of Ireland here, where the Rock served as the traditional seat of the Kings of Munster before it was donated to the Catholic Church nearly 1,000 years ago for use as a cathedral. It stands as one of the finest examples of medieval architecture in Europe, and your entrance fee (EUR 7.00) is included in the tour price.
Next, we take a short 20-minute drive to Cork, Ireland's second city. Here, you’ll have time to explore the English Market, recently visited by Queen Elizabeth II, offering an array of local produce, artisan meats, cheeses, and delightful Irish fare—an ideal spot for lunch.
In the afternoon, we head to Blarney, where we’ll visit Blarney Castle and kiss the famous Blarney Stone, granting us the gift of eloquence (the "gift of the gab") for seven years. Blarney is also celebrated for its arts and crafts, prominently featured in Blarney Woolen Mills, the world’s largest Irish shop.
We return to Cork for the evening, where you can indulge in the vibrant atmosphere, enjoying a variety of traditional eateries, music, and dance venues.
Our day begins with a drive through the Golden Vale, known as one of the best farming regions in Ireland. We’ll make a stop in Limerick City to admire the River Shannon and capture panoramic views of King John’s Castle. Next, we’ll journey to the famous Wild Atlantic Way, marveling at the rugged coastline of County Clare.
Prepare to be captivated by stunning beaches, golden sands, and perhaps even dolphins playing in the waves. We will explore the Burren, a unique lunar landscape dating back 300 million years, featuring underground rivers and waterfalls. Listen as your guide shares inspiring stories of how our ancestors endured the Great Potato Famine of 1845-49, which led over a million of them to migrate to various corners of the globe, especially to Britain, Australia, and North America.
Our lunch stop will be in Doolin, the heart of Irish traditional music, where you can savor some homemade traditional Irish dishes.
Next, we visit the iconic Cliffs of Moher, Ireland's crown jewel and the most popular natural tourist destination in the country. Rising over 700 feet, these cliffs are home to many majestic seabirds, including puffins and gannets. The afternoon continues with a spectacular road trip along the Wild Atlantic Way, extending as far north as Galway Bay, while also taking in the scenic views of Black Head.
Our final stop is Bunratty Castle, where you’ll have the opportunity to take photos before we make our way back to Dublin, concluding this remarkable tour around 7:30 PM.
